Dax Randall Shepard, better known as Dax Shepard, is an American actor, comedian, filmmaker, and podcast host. That Shepard uses the Transcendental Meditation method of meditation, created in India during the 1950s, may surprise many of you.
Among the people, he interviews on his podcasts are celebrities, journalists, and university lecturers. This piece sheds light on his tattoos. Let’s take a closer look.
1. Temple Bell Tattoo
Tattoo: Dex is recognized for having a set of beliefs and values that he hopes to abide by. ‘Dex’ Another one is the piercing ink on his knuckle. Dax’s tattoo portrays a temple bell, but he sees it as a tribute to his wife, Kristen Bell.
The tattoo, he says, is the most precious memento and remembrance of his marriage since he doesn’t wear his wedding band or any other jewellery. Dex says he has a tattoo of a bell on that finger to honour his wife Kristen Bell instead of wearing a ring.
For her, wearing jewellery was a way of sending a message to potential suitors that she was interested in them. A tattoo seemed suitable to me, she said.
Thank goodness her last name is an actual tattooable item. K, L, and D are meant to appear on the bell, which stands for Kristen, Lincoln, and Dax, respectively.
2. Shoulder Tattoo-Outlined Tree
Tattoo: On his right upper arm, a big tattoo depicts an outline of a tree. Dax got this tattoo in 2010, which means he’s been rocking it for a long time. Rather than hiding an old ink stain, this tree serves a purpose. “A previous horrible tattoo” is being covered up with this one.
